When Aoki and his men arrive, Mirror Face, impersonating Tendo, talks as though he has defeated the party, and thus fools Aoki into admitting he had desired them killed. Kasuga's party then pretends to be knocked out. Then, Mirror Face - who had switched loyalties to Kasuga's party after Tendo's attempted assassination of him - impersonates Tendo and hides his body. After an intense battle, Tendo is defeated and subdued by the party. Tendo proudly admits to his murder of Kasuga's biological father to goad him. Later, Aoki sends Tendo to search the Arakawa Family office in the Millennium Tower after Kasuga bluffs Aoki into believing there may be an incriminating recording in the office. While Kasuga, his party and Mirror Face manage to escape and survive, Ishioda's fate is unknown. Later, after Ishioda and Mirror Face fail to subdue Kasuga and his party, Tendo and Aoki order one of Tendo's subordinates to detonate a bomb in Ishioda's office. Now loyal to Ryo Aoki, Tendo then beats Ishioda to assassinating Arakawa in order to eliminate a rival and regain his favor with the splinter faction and Aoki. The resulting power vacuum enables the formation of a splinter faction that is created after the Omi's dissolution the Tokyo Omi Alliance, which Tendo and the Ryudo Family are absorbed into. He hides his ulterior motive of creating a power vacuum which he could leverage to gain power and rise to the top. When Watase announces the dissolution of the Omi Alliance (alongside Arakawa and several of their allies in the dissolved Tojo Clan), Tendo surprises everyone present by choosing to fight alongside Watase and his allies, stating he does not want to miss the brawl of a lifetime. When Omi Captain Masaru Watase is freed from prison, Tendo is present at the ceremony to welcome him back, where he once again meets Kasuga's party and Arakawa. Due to his boxer background, he appears to be recognized by some of the party. After Mabuchi is subdued by Zhao, Kasuga, and their allies, Tendo introduces himself to the party and leaves. Much later, alongside fellow Omi officer Reiji Ishioda, Tendo observes Akira Mabuchi, an Omi loyalist in the Yokohama Liumang, attempting to defeat the leader of the Liumang, Tianyou Zhao. He witnesses Ichiban Kasuga barge in only to be shot by the Omi's Acting Captain, Masumi Arakawa. Tendo first appears at the dinner between Omi officers. Looking for another chance at the top, he joined the yakuza, eventually becoming an officer and top fighter for the Omi Alliance. When the fixers failed to pay, Tendo beat them to death, which resulted in a major scandal that caused him to leave his boxing career. However, he eventually showed his dark side by accepting an offer to fix a match. ![]() ![]() This secured him significant fame, as well as a sizeable fortune. In another life, Tendo was a highly successful heavyweight boxer, winning championship after championship. Towards authority figures, like Aoki, Tendo is assertive, making his personal boundaries clear as well as setting his own terms at the negotiating table. ![]() This puts him in stark contrast to Ichiban Kasuga who steadfastly stands by those who offer him their support, no matter the consequences. Tendo's cynicism underlines his actions, as he believes that in life, values like loyalty are utterly meaningless and all that matters is gaining power over others. He also carries a sense of entitlement about him, remarking that Masumi Arakawa "stole his rightful seat", suggesting that he sees his place in society as being at the top. This makes him not above betrayal and conspiracy, as evidenced by his role in the dissolution of the Omi Alliance Tendo is capable of acting in a friendly manner towards those he despises, gaining their trust while secretly plotting their demise. Despite being a former boxer, he prefers strategy to fisticuffs, often planning his schemes in advance while waiting for the right time to strike. His tattoo depicts a dragon with red and blue color motifs.Ĭompared to Ishioda, Tendo is also ambitious, but is far more calculating with his actions. Tendo's attire consists of three-piece pinstriped green suit over charcoal gray shirt and magenta tie with Omi Alliance insignia, a matching pair of suit pants, and a pair of white leather shoes. Tendo is intimidatingly tall with an extremely muscular build, slicked-back hair with sideburns, and a thin mustache.
